Pompano Beach Club History
Pompano Beach Club was built by Newport Corporation. The South Tower was often referred to as Tower I because it was built first, while the North Tower was often referred to as Tower II because it was built second.
In 2001 the Recreation Center Board of Governors approved a major renovation plan for the Recreation Center in 2002. Work on the project included extensive structural repairs and a much-needed facelift for the exterior of the building.
Pompano Beach Club has one of the few recreation centers that is detached and located directly on the beach for resident use.
